On April 16th more than 600 business men and women who refused to be “rained out” filled the United Club Level of Invesco Field at Mile High for the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau’s 6th Annual Business Recognition Event and Meeting. With record attendance, a variety of hors d’oeuvres, games, networking opportunities, and presentations from key speakers such as BBB Foundation Chairperson, Hope Marie Sneed, and BBB CEO, Dale Mingilton, this year’s event was something to remember.
In accordance with the theme, “Step Up To The Plate,” attendees enjoyed mixing and mingling in their favorite sports attire with area businesses, more than 25 sponsors, BBB staff and Board members. Between handshakes, attendees enjoyed caricature drawing, miniature golf, Pop-A-Shot basketball, baseball pitching games, a costume contest and drawings for various prizes, including two free round-trip tickets provided by Southwest Airlines.
The BBB was also pleased to present Gold Star Certificates and Longevity Awards to many Accredited Businesses in attendance. More than 4,000 area companies earned the Gold Star Certificate by remaining complaint-free for three calendar years, and over 1,000 earned the Longevity Award for 10 or more consecutive years of Accreditation! Those unable to attend the event are now receiving these prestigious awards in the mail.
