As our organization was founded in 1951, we naturally began thinking about the best way to celebrate our 60th
Anniversary in 2011. We did the usual consideration of looking
internally for stats about our organization like - members and staff who
have been here the longest, old photos of the building, first
newsletter, and the like. All of those things are important and fun to
reminisce about; however, we just didn't think it was special enough.
It
is inspiring to consider all that Metro Denver, Boulder County, and its
organizations have been through, especially the last few years.
Everyone has been making the tough decisions, being creative and
surviving to fight another day. Additionally, many of these same
organizations have been doing this for 25, 50, 100 or more years.
